How To Rank A Keyword
As a webmaster, one of the basic skills that you have to learn when you are exploring SEO (That’s short for Search Engine Optimization) is how to rank a keyword. Of course for you to execute properly, you must first learn the importance of a keyword and why you should take time to rank them properly for your use. When it comes to websites or SEO, keywords are words or phrases (normally two or three) that have been identified as a word that potential customers use when they are searching for a product. For example, if you run a website about the health benefit of organic food, then understandably one of your keywords would be: “Organic Food”. It could also be “Information Organic Food”, “Organic Diet”, “Importance of Organic Food”, or “Healthy Organic Food”. Keywords help search engines such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo! index your website as a relevant result for their search results if ever a customer or a person looks for it using the said search engines. This is one of the reasons why keywords must be visible in your site and better it can also be found in the source code of your website.
Of course, your website could have hundreds of possible keywords but that’s exactly why it is important to rank them. You have to choose the keyword that will bring in more customers compared to others, and you also have to make sure that the search engines will be pleased with them so they will be able to go up the search engine results page at a higher number. Please note that just because you have found the perfect keywords to use doesn’t mean that you can now be lax about your website. You have to continuously work on making it better. It may be a little bit harder for you to stand out if you are using a popular keyword since that means that you have a lot of competition.
Here are some steps that you can do to help rank keywords:
Your website has to be what I like to call “keyword ready”. The chances of your keywords ranking is higher if you are an old website – meaning you have been around for quite a while but don’t lose new website owners, I don’t mean that you won’t be able to rank your keywords up, it’s just that it will be a bit more challenging for you compared to old-timers. It would also be a great help if you already have a following in your blog or on social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Be patient! These things take time.
– Next, you have to take some steps to do keyword research. Several keyword tools on the internet can help you find the cluster of words with the highest hits. Then again remember that if a keyword is very popular, it can be a little hard to break through that. Oh, make sure that the keywords that you choose to use are actually relevant to your website or at least post.
To win a war, you must also research your competition and do better than they are doing. Shift the advantage to your side.
Now, we go to you writing a wonderfully interesting and informative content that can help rank your keyword. Add things such as images, infographics, videos, and a lot more to shake things up.
And finally, you should optimize your keywords in your content that is mindful of the SEO. Use your keywords properly, but not like you sound robot-ish.
So now, you have an idea of how to rank a website fast! Good luck and don’t give up! When you have reached success in the end, you will realize that it’s worth it.
